How to remove Microsoft OneDrive from windows 10?

Onedrive is Microsoft’s cloud storage services offer to users on various platform on Windows, Mac, iOS and Android. Recently Microsoft launched its next iteration of OS, Windows 10. Along with it comes pre-installed services by Microsoft which is hard to uninstall or remove. One such service is OneDrive.

How to Disable Microsoft OneDrive?

Microsoft OneDrive which you can see running in the background when you open the Task Manager and you don’t need to use the service. Like in India, We don’t have WiFi hotspot areas very much so that we can keep all our stuff in Cloud Storage. Rather we keep all the files, documents, music and videos in physical drives like HDD, Memory Card and Pendrive.

So, Here are two ways ” How you can keep OneDrive from running in background? “

1. Quit Microsoft OneDrive.

You can stop OneDrive from running in the background by going in the notification tray area. Right-Click on the OneDrive icon and click on Exit.

2. Disable Microsoft One Drive from Startup.

So many of the services like antivirus, Google chrome and OneDrive gets enabled when your PC boots. Which drastically increase the bootup time of the system.

What you have to do disable OneDrive from getting startup with boot.

Open Task Manager. Goto Startup tab. Look for Microsoft OneDrive and Disable it.

How to Uninstall Microsoft OneDrive ?

Create a new text file in notepad and paste the following below code in it.

Save the file with name UninstallOnedrive.cmd 

Now Run the same file, with administrative privileges. Volla! now you have successfully uninstall onedrive from your Windows 10 Pro/Home system.
