How to change useragent in opera mobile

You might have come down to few websites which only open mobile version of there site by default in mobile like facebook, google, youtube and many more. But sometimes it happens that we need to access full-fledged version of website in Desktop mode many websites give the option to switch to desktop version but ever time we have to made the switch from mobile to desktop mode. But what if we can make the switch permanent to desktop interface like everytime we open we don’t have to see . The website determines what device we are using and what browser we are using and what is its version by looking into our Browser Useragent string which of opera mobile is some what like

Opera/12.02 (Android 4.1; Linux; Opera Mobi/ADR-1111101157; U; en-US) Presto/2.9.201 Version/12.02

We however can change the Useragent string of Browser to open Desktop version of website.  Many Mobile web browser donot support support the feature to change the U/A of the browser. But Opera mobile does come up with an option to change the Useragent of opera mobile. It doesn’t whether you are in Android, iOS or in Symbian. As long as you have Opera mobile installed [Not Opera mini] in your device you can change the useragent of the browser.

How to change the useragent of Opera Mobile

  • Type Opera:Config in the address bar

  • Preferences Editor will be opened
  • Find User Prefs click on it [ Don’t click on the option of useragent]

  • Under User Prefs you will find Custom User-Agent setting box
  • Fill the desirable user-agent you wish like Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 10.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/6.0)
