Craze over selfie continue to grow in India and other parts of the world. There was a time when the Rear camera always had more megapixel count than the front camera or what is popularly called as selfie camera. Now, companies like Gionee and Oppo have come up with ridiculous high megapixel front camera that the rear camera lags behind.
Capitalizing over this growing trend of selfies. Gionee, today on 22nd March, 2017 launched its new smartphone Gionee A1. With Gionee tagline read as Super Selfie and Super Battery. It sure does have the specs to prove its claim. Gionee A1 is rocking a 16 MP front camera with fixed focus of 2.0 aperture. The front camera F2.0 aperture won’t be able to take good picture in low light conditions but thanks to front flash its lack is somewhat fulfilled. The Gionee A1 has 4010mAh battery which Gionee claims to give 10 hours of screen-on time.
Gionee A1 is powered by Mediatek P10 Helio SOC (System on Chip). It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB ROM (Internal Memory). It price hasn’t been revealed yet but rough estimated price it between Rs.22,000-Rs.24,000.
Gionee A1 sports a 5.5 inch 2.5D curved glass of Fullscreen HD resolution (1920x1080p) . The mediatek helio P10 octa-core processor is clocked at 2.0 GHz with Mali T860 GPU. It comes with latest Android Nougat 7.0 with Amigo OS skin on top.
Like the current trend of smartphone it comes with 4G LTE , Volte Support, 3G, 2G, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and wifi with dual band ( 2.5GHz + 5GHz) support.
The camera being its main attraction to Gionee A1 specially the front comes equipped with Sony IMX258 sensor of 16MP with F2.0 aperture. While the rear being low on megapixel comes with 13MP camera greater than Google Pixel XL.
Gionee A1 comes in 3 colors and will be available for pre-order from 31st march,2017. The price of Gionee A1 hasn’t been disclosed yet but it is estimated to be priced between Rs.22,000-Rs.24,000.

The front Camera of being F2.0 aperture won’t be able to perform in low-light condition and Hybrid slot is let down while Moto G5 offers separate dual sim and SD card slot.
