GATE 2018 Cut off for all branches

GATE 2018 which was conducted by IIT GUWAHATI on 3rd Feb, 4th Feb, 10th and 11th Feb. GATE 2018 was scheduled to be announced on 17th March, 2017. But it was pre-poned and result were out on 16th March, 2017.

GATE 2018 Cut off marks or qualifying marks is minimum marks one need to secure to be considered GATE qualified candidate.

GATE score card are only given to candidates who have secured the cut off marks for their Engineering Branch. Otherwise GATE score card will not be issued for candidate who have not scored minimum marks to qualify gate.

What is the benefit of GATE score card?

  1. Gate score card is used to take admission in M.Tech and MS course in Government and Private colleges.
  2. Gate score card is used to look for recruitment in various PSUs. Though just getting qualifying marks will not fetch you a PSUs job.

GAte 2018 cut off

As GATE 2018 Result is made available. You can also see your own Engineering Branch cut-off. But those you have not given GATE don’t know the cut off marks. For them we are bringing Qualifying marks of GATE 2018 for Various Engineering Branch.

Just Qualifying GATE with minimum marks won’t get you a job in PSUs. But you can use this mark to get into a Private institution for doing your M.Tech and also you would get a stipend of Rs.12,400/monthly from Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD).

GATE 2018 vs GATE 2017 Cut off Analysis

Cut off marks of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Engineering remains the same as of previous year

In Civil Engineering Cut off mark has gone down this for General – 1.1 , OBC – 1.6 and SC/ST/PH – 1.2 Marks

For Instrumentation Engineering Qualifying has increased by 1.4 – General, 2.2 – OBC and 1.7 – SC/ST/PH

Mechanical Engineering Cut off marks has also seen an increase of 1.6 -General, 2.1 – OBC and 1.6 – SC/ST/PH
